Our mission is to provide graduate psychology students the opportunity to serve the mental health needs of the community by providing free psychological services under the supervision of licensed psychologists.  By serving the community surrounding Andrews University, we seek to change the world around us by collaboratively improving the lives of those in our community.  We affirm our faith in God by applying the knowledge we seek through scholarly endeavors with the compassion and care modeled by Christ.

The Andrews Community Counseling Center (ACCC) provides mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults who reside in the Michiana area, or who are members of the community near the university.  Services are provided to persons regardless of race, gender, religious affiliation, culture, or other status or worldview. All information obtained from clients is treated as confidential. Ethical standards of the American Psychological Association and the American Counseling Association are adhered to by ACCC staff members.

To schedule an appointment with a counselor, call (269) 471-6238. Please arrive 10 minutes early for the first appointment, allowing at least one hour total for this first meeting. The ACCC is closed during student breaks between semesters and on holidays as marked in the Andrews University calendar.  The ACCC is also closed when classes at Andrews University are cancelled due to inclement weather; call (269) 471-7660 to get the current status of class cancellations.

Reasons to visit the ACCC include: academic problems; behavioral problems; social skills problems; bullying problems (victims and perpetrators); parent-child conflict; depression; anxiety; personal growth; relationship or marital issues; stress management; personality concerns; grief; adjustment issues; career issues; sleep problems; spiritual issues; traumatic events; self-esteem; and others.

For appointments or additional information about services, please call the ACCC at (269) 471-6238 to request services or leave a confidential message requesting services and someone will return your call during open hours (which are typically late afternoon and evenings Sundays through Fridays; closed Saturdays).  For concerns or suggestions, please call the ACCC Director, Dr. Ron Coffen, at (269) 471-3491.
